A Look Back At Art Hearts Fashion Fall/Winter 2016

The largest season to date with over 40 designers, the Fall/Winter 2016 Art Hearts Fashion electrified Los Angeles Fashion Week from March 13 – 18 at Taglyan Complex in Hollywood, California. LA Fashion Week brought together many individuals involved in the fashion industry and just fashion lovers in general.  In addition to all the extraordinary runway shows, there was musical performances, red carpet arrivals each night and two galas. Taglyan Complex provided brief highlights during the week of the show, but the following is a more in depth look at what occurred during LA Fashion Week.

Sponsored by the AIDS Healthcare Foundation, Art Hearts Fashion premiered Monday night with YAS Couture by Elie Madi, Sir Isaac Newton, Kentaro, Kate’s Couture, Jaime Elyse Couture, and Willfredo Gerardo. The opening night was filled with a star studded  attendees including: NFL Giants Player Myles White, Matt and Mark Harris of Storage Wars, Krista Keller Stodden of the Mother Daughter Project, Michelle Epps of Basketball Wives and Annie Ilonzeh of Empire – to name a few.

The second day of Art Hearts Fashion brought ready-to-wear fashion with edge, bold prints, and playful silhouettes. Once again, the event was sponsored by the AIDS Healthcare Foundation. The night featured men and womenswear with these designer showcases: RESPONSIVE TEXTILES, Yhta’k Designs, Rene Tyler, Koco Blaq, Joshua Christensen, and Mister Triple X. Many celebrities showed their support to the designers, including Janice Dickenson, Colleen Shannon, Amber Smith, Angelica Bridges, Amanda Joy and Efren Ramirez.

Wednesday, the third day of the fashion show, brought couture, kidswear and singer-songwriter JoJo to the runway. In partnership with VH1 Save The Music Foundation and sponsored by AIDS Healthcare Foundation, Art Hearts Fashion debuted the kid’s collections of Lil Jewels, Shout Out! Clothing, Victoria Atelier and Hollywood Doll by Kaya Jones. The kid’s shows began with VH1 Save The Music Opening performance by Colony Boys. Later that day, JoJo closed the show by performing her popular hit song “Get Out” as well as some of her new songs.

The evening fashion shows on Wednesday included Joey Galon Atelier, Czarina, House of Ccuoco, Merline Labissiere and Walter Mendez. Many celebrities attended the third day of shows, such as Jon Lovitz, NFL Player James Anderson, Cory Feldman, Peter Madrigal, Jessica Parido, Phoebe Price, Michael Kuluva, Hazel-E of Love and Hip Hop, Chiqui Rivera and Cynthia Basinet.

During the final night of Art Hearts Fashion, which was sponsored by AIDS Healthcare Foundation, the Art Institutes of California brought 13 very talented student designers to make their debut on the runway. In addition, designers Meraqi, Dunyah, Evana, and Adolfo Sanchez of CreativPR showcased their breakout collections. The grand finale of the week also brought designers Fernando Alberto, Mimi Tran and Rocky Gathercole together. A performance by Anna Victoria delighted attendees on the runway which featured designs by custom wardrobe celebrity designer Arman Morozov. Dance choreography was brought by celebrity choreographer Michael Silas.
