Taglyan Cultural Complex Hosts “A Season for Peace” Event – Dedicated to Memory of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr

On January 17, 2011, the Taglyan Arts and Cultural Complex hosted an event entitled “A Season for Peace” project. The inaugural event was dedicated to the great movement to replace a culture of violence and conflict for a culture of peace and harmony.

The focus of ‘The Global Initiative for Peace’ is to increase the visibility of every organization and leader who has a desire to use their resources to build a strong alliance to affect World Unity.
The Very Rev. Fr. Dajad Dz. V. Yardemian, Vicar General, represented the Primate at the event and offered the Invocation.

The event was attended by The Honorable Diane E. Watson, PhD, retired US Congresswoman from the 33rd district, Los Angeles City Council, 4th district, Tom Labonge, Actress Sheryl Lee Ralph, International harpist Mariea Antoinette, Cultural Arts Coordinator and International acclaimed Opera Soprano, Brenda Jackson and renowned classical pianist Marvin Christopher Brown-King.
