Children Uniting Nations Gala Held At Taglyan Complex

On Sunday, February 28, 2016, The Oscars Viewing Gala Benefiting the Children Uniting Nations was held at Taglyan Complex in Hollywood, CA. Children Uniting Nations (CUN) was founded in 1999 by Daphna Ziman, along with Honorary Chair Hillary Rodham Clinton and former President Bill Clinton. The very important mission of Children Uniting Nations is to bring stability and supportive relationships into the lives of foster youth through mentoring programs.

Many celebrities attended the gala held at Taglyan, such as Andy Dick, Radha Mitchell, Steven Berkoff, Max Ryan, Larry Dunn, David Faustino, Lee Broad, Ellen Hollman, Shin Koyamada, Joseph Gatt, Shawne Mirriman, Tonya Kay, Alice Amter, Sarah-Jane Crawford, Natasha Alam, Sam Horrigan, Katie Clarke, Nia Lyte, Kira Kazantsev, Samantha Mumba, Melia Kreiling, Andre Soriano, Amy Willerton, Bruce Caulk, Derek Warburton, Cristen Mills, Tasha Boué, Nawal Bengholam, Izabella Miko, Monique Zordan, Rochelle Vincente Von K, Sarodj Bertin, Vik Sahay, Clement Von Franckenstein, Demetrius Grosse, Katie Cleary, and Mercy Malick.

At the gala, the guests enjoyed cocktails sponsored by Dama, Hula Girl, and wines that were generously donated by Seebass Vineyards. Once the Oscars began, guests were treated to a formal dinner courtesy of presenting sponsor Cinemoi, all while rooting for their favorite actor or film to win. (Many were happy to see Leonardo Dicaprio win his first Oscar!) Once the Oscars ended, the guests enjoyed a high-couture runway show that highlighted the works of many wonderful and artistic designers, including Slovakian Renata Kliska and her latest creations from her La Rena label, Indonesian designer Anniesa Hasibuan with her latest collection “PearlAsia”, and Mialy Seheno. The fashion show was hosted by Amy Willerton, who has previously won the title of Miss Universe Great Britain and represented the UK at the Miss Universe 2013 pageant.

One of the more notable highlights of the night for the guests was the DJ set by Pete Tong who kicked off the after-party with his electrifying music. All in all, it’s safe to say that attendees had a fabulous time at this year’s Children Uniting Nations gala!
